Step 1: Prepare your lips
- Gently exfoliate your lips to remove dead skin, using a gentle sugar scrub or a soft brush.
- Apply a thin layer of lip balm and blot off any excess to create a smooth canvas.
Step 2: Outline your lips
- Sharpen the liner if it's a pencil to ensure a precise tip.
- Hold the liner at an angle and begin at the center of your cupid's bow, gliding the pencil outwards towards the corners of your mouth.
- Repeat on the bottom lip, starting in the center and working your way to the corners.
- Connect the corners to complete the outline. For a more defined or fuller look, you can slightly overline your natural lip line.
Step 3: Fill in and blend
- For long-lasting color, you can fill in your entire lip with the lip liner, which also helps to prevent lipstick from bleeding.
- For a seamless transition, blend the liner inwards with your finger or a lip brush.
- Apply your lipstick or lip gloss on top. The matte lip liner provides a long-lasting and smudge-proof base.
