Step 1: Prepare the canvas
- Apply an eyeshadow primer to create a smooth, even base and help the colors last longer and blend better.
- Use a fluffy brush to apply the lightest matte shade from the palette across the entire lid and under the brow bone to set the primer and create a clean canvas.
Step 2: Build dimension
- Using a blending or fluffy brush, pick up a medium, matte shade and apply it to the crease, blending it back and forth to create a soft transition.
- You can also blend this color under the lower lash line to tie the look together.
Step 3: Add depth and intensity
- Take a darker matte or shimmer shade and apply it to the outer corner of your eye.
- Use a denser brush to pack the color along the upper lash line, blending the edges upwards into the crease.
- For a more dramatic look, extend the dark shade further into the outer corner and blend it with the other shades to avoid harsh lines.
Step 4: Highlight and finish
- Apply a shimmer or metallic shade with your fingertip or a flat brush to the center of the lid and the inner corner of your eye. This will add a pop of light and make your eyes appear more open.
- If you have one, apply a touch of a bright shimmer shade to the inner corner for an extra highlight.
- Complete the look by applying eyeliner and mascara.
