For industrial and technical applications

  • Extreme hardness: It allows for the precise cutting, grinding, and polishing of very hard materials like ceramics, glass, metals, and composites that other abrasives cannot process.
  • Durability and longevity: Diamond powder retains its cutting ability for extended periods, meaning tools and parts last longer, reducing the need for frequent replacement and lowering overall costs.
  • Heat dissipation: It has high thermal conductivity, which helps dissipate heat during the polishing process, protecting both the abrasive and the material being polished from overheating.
  • Precision and accuracy: It can be manufactured in various precise sizes (from nano-scale to micron-scale) to achieve specific surface finishes, from aggressive grinding to mirror-like polishing.
  • Chemical resistance: It is chemically stable and resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for use in harsh or chemical environments.

How to Use?

  1. Prepare the surface: Clean the surface and ensure it is dry and free of debris.
  2. Choose the correct grit: Select the appropriate diamond particle size for the task. Finer grits are for finishing, while coarser grits are for removing material.
  3. Mix the slurry: Combine the diamond powder with a suitable carrier liquid, such as water, oil, or a specific compound, to create a usable paste or slurry.
  4. Apply to the tool: Spread a thin amount of the mixture onto your polishing pad, lapping plate, or wheel.
  5. Polish the surface: Use a steady, controlled motion to move the item being polished over the paste. For machine polishing, a figure-eight pattern is often recommended.
  6. Clean and repeat: Thoroughly clean the item and the tool. If you need a higher level of finish, repeat the process, moving to a finer diamond powder.
